How to stop smoking

I have a friend who wanted to quit smoking because he started getting serious medical problems because of smoking...he started smoking when he was in 8th std..now he is 29 years..he was a chain smoker..this is wat i advised him and he successfully quit...Not only he other 4 friends also quit...

u wont be able to quit smoking in one go. U did a good thing by counting the number of cegiretts u r smoking. Now that u know the numbers each day reduce it by one... for Eg, if on Monday u had 10 cageritts then on Tuesday reduce it to 9...for the next five days keep the count as 9..then after the fifth day reduce it by one more i.e 8... keep reducing after every 5 days...(whatever happens how so ever tensed u r DONT INCREASE THE COUNT)

Initially U will definitely suffer from withdrawal symptoms eg like becoming angry, unable to concentrate etc... but u most have a strong will in mind (that is wat matters the most).. whenever u feel like smoking have a 5star chocolate that will make the carving go away..in fact carry one chocolate in u r pocket and whenever u feel like smoking take a bite and keep it in u r mouth...u must avoid the company of smokers.. also reduce /stop having tea,coffee,cold drinks and hard drinks...

Find one more person who is wants to quit...someone u meet daily..both of u will be able to help each other..tell all u r family and friends that u want to quit..ask them to support u...if anyone in u r family or friendship is a smoker ask him/her not to smoke in front of u...

Every morning get up early morning and go for a jog..that will make u build stamina (smoking reduces u r stamina)..if u can find time for meditation do it also..follow a fix timetable for sleeping and waking up..become a vegetarian (avoid meat as much as possible)...drink lots of water

some people have a problem.. they cant go to toilet (esp in morning time without smoking).. for them.. carry Ghee inside the toilet and apply it on the Anus..take the ghee on u r finger..Apply the ghee on u r anus and then insert the finger (a little bit insertion in enough) inside u r hole so that the ghee is applied in and around the hole..that will make the hole lubricated and u will be able to do u r toilet duties easily..do this for some weeks or months till u r able to do it naturally without smoking...
